LYD appears to be a bit off his game today... a little passive. GC makes the point that she's afraid many of these top pairs are already feeling the stress of playing so much recently, so early in the new year.

But LYD came back on fire in the second... Malaysian pair put up a brave display despite being overwhelmed by difference in skill.

Ko SH/Lee YD prevailed, home fave should meet 2nd seed Koo/Tan tomorrow unless CHN back-up pair could create upset.

    Porntip vs SJH.
The Japanese umpire introduces them, then begins proceedings:
"Love all..." -pause, gathers herself for the challenge ahead, then, "Play!"
...followed by a satisfied little smile!

Shu Cheng must have injured herself, because ZYL has just won her XD game with ZN...
Now, if BYX/TQ can win their match, its possible WXL/YY may encounter an injury...

SJH is exposing Porntip's weakness on her backhand very cleverly... the Thai coach is getting more animated. :)

SUng Ji Hyun changed her game completely and totally. She has improved her deceptive skills very much. :) Seems to be like she has recovered from her personal worries. Liked the way she played and outplayed portnip. Really portnip struggled to make each and every point.

    Two words - not interested.

    The coaches are not interested
    The players are not interested
    The audience is not interested
BWF is not interested or more likely incapabable to do anything.

I'm interested to watch the best 2 pairs to play it all-out, but what can I do?
