Yes he is a smasher... Geh is the front player... When kevin at the back court, he will release heavy smash to the tpe pair, which tpe pair cannot return...

Hadn't expected the NZ women's doubles players to win the title and beating two JPN pairs along the way. Noteworthy, esp so coming from New Zealand.

The youthful 19-yr-old Wang Tzu Wei beating his senior Hsu Jen Hao for the MS title is another surprise.

Nozomi Okuhara is another JPN WS to watch out for.

The INA MD, Selvanus/Kevin, did well to beat the TPE Chen Hung Ling/Lu Chia Pin.

INA camp won 2 titles, surprising winner for Kevin/Selvanus and Aussie pair Tang/Veeran to defeat more favourite Chen/Lu and Matsuo/Naito respectively also Wang Tzu Wei as well, last year WJC runner-up to eliminate his older compatriot Hsu Jen Hao.

He was heavily strapped here and there. According to friend, he retired due to calf muscle injury.

Chen Hung Lin seemed to have caught a cold. Saw him coughing during the matchings......and didn't smash much.

Winning at 39 years young! Congratulations to Tang HeTian.

It would be even more fitting if it is a golden grand prix :)

I remember she changed her name because Yongshu sounds like loosing forever in Mandarin. Glad she can still win at 39.

Incredible and admirable, Tang Hetian is a 39-yr-old! A precious sword never gets rusty, as the Chinese saying goes.

In this modern age of breakthrough medical science, dietetics and nutrition coupled with the most advanced training methodology in sports, more and more professional athletes are competing well into their 30s, even staying at the top of their game. In badminton, Peter Gade, Tine Baun, Juliane Schenk, Hu Yun, Lee Hyun Il are some prime examples.

Perhaps in the near future, 35 may be the common retirement age for most world-class athletes, including the most physically demanding sports.
