It's so easy to talk in hindsight and somebody is grabbing the opportunity to rub it in.

Make sure JOJ doesn't get knocked out by Hu Yun tomorrow. As we know, based on past records, JOJ, same for Tago, often failed to deliver against lesser players than LD,LCW and CL.

With both CL and LD out of the picture, it'll be a load off LCW's mind. How the penultimate and final rounds will be played out, as far as LCW is concerned, should be quite clear, I suppose.

Wow, JOJ did what LCW couldn't do - win twice in a row against LD (or maybe I'm thinking of twice in a year).

Tommy did not have enough strength to tackle LCW in 3 games. It' true that for an instant we thought that there could be some upset but LCW came out in style.

Without even knowing this, some started chanting praises all over. Whatever could be the result of tommy vs lcw, that has nothing to do with sunday's final or anything related to that. why should LCW need to fear about sunday?. Lol. Good joke.

...yes, fantastic mental discipline here from JOJ. It was like watching a game of chess.

Chen Long's loss to Hu Yun was a shocker.
Lin Dan's loss to JOJ was not unexpected as he has so far played four matches from the qualifying stage. China has only the WS and XD representation in the SF. Will they make it to the final?

CHN two big guns surprising lost made no one CHN MS at semifinal stage tomorrow.
On paper, both Li Xuerui and ZZ have advantage to secure final ticket.

The 2013 HK Open mxd champions lose to a HK pair. The Adcocks are just behind the top four pairs in the world and have been beaten by a consistently improving HK pair. This marks the stage when Lee Chun Hei and Chau Hoi Wah really stamp themselves down as world class.

Hu Yun's victory is even more surprising when we consider that he recently lost in the HK annual championships (restricted to HK players). He lost to a young player.

I was thinking the loss to a young HK player was another marker of Hu Yun's decline and then he pops up with a surprise victory here.

May be he did not have interest in playing nationals?

He can't be eliminated completely. That's why he is still hongkong no. 1 . No doubt in that.

The way LD played in the earlier rounds and in TC, it was quite clear that against a faster player he would be in trouble. His movements are slow

JOJ was the best player he played against this year, I guess. So to speak, the first real test.

JOJ was almost brilliant in this JO but was rather disappointing against Tago during the Thomas Cup.

MS1 Kenichi Tago beat Jan O Jorgensen
    21-9, 21-11 in 37 min.
