    Chinese ladies bounce back at home event, Lin-Lee mouth watering clash

    After series of flopped performances, China women's singles is back on right track as they has assured 1 final berth. China also dominates mixed doubles with three representatives in last four.

    The long-standing rivarly once again set up in men's singles semifinal today, Lin Dan v Lee Chong Wei. These two prominent players, Lin and Lee needed hardwork to overcame their quarterfinal opponent, Hu Yun and Jorgensen respectively. Lin is struggling to awe badminton fans at several Superseries lately and Lee starts to regain confidence after bagged triumphant in Paris last month.Twice world champion Chen Long will take on familiar foe, Son Wan Ho who's trying to find his fine form. Home favourite Chen eliminated Danish rising star Viktor Axelsen in high quality match yesterday while Son was forced to dig deep before disposed local promising youngster Shi Yuqi.

    The Chinese trio roar at homesoil to knock out their rival and it's the first time they marched together into last four in this year top tier tournament. The most notable victory was created by Wang Shixian to thwart strong favourite Carolina Marin, she scored 10 consecutive point at decider and pushed Marin had no answer to counter attack. Wang Yihan and Li Xuerui also bring China women's singles back to business. The only non Chinese player left in this category is defending champion Saina Nehwal who will face her nemesis Wang Yihan.

    Korea men's doubles still shows strong presence without Lee YD/Yoo YS as Ko Sung Hyun/Shin Baek Cheol and Kim Gi Jung/Kim Sa Rang advanced to semifinal. Former world champion Ko/Shin dumped giant-killer Li JH/Liu YC and will up against China last hopeful in this discipline, Chai Biao/Hong Wei. Two Kims who stunned one of title contender Boe/Mogensen will take on Japan top-ranked pair Hiroyuki Endo/Kenichi Hayakawa.

    World number one Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi has dangerous Korean women's doubles pair Chang Ye Na/Lee So Hee to book final ticket. The Japanese pair failed to clear second round in last four Superseries after pretty strong start in early this year. Chang/Lee outwitted Pedersen/Juhl yesterday and no impossible this Korean ladies will cruise into finale. At bottom half of draw, the Olympic and world champion Tian Qing/Zhao Yunlei will up against recent Bitburger Open winner Tang Yuanting/Yu Yang.

    Joachim Fischer Nielsen/Christinna Pedersen are surrounded by three home pairs, their semifinal opponent is current World Championships silver medalist Liu Cheng/Bao Yixin, the latter lost to Danish finest at their last meeting in Japan Open last September. At top half of draw, Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei have their compatriot Xu Chen/Ma Jin to defend the title here, the mighty Zhang/Zhao almost tasted defeat yesterday when Indonesian Jordan/Susanto led with big margin at deciding game.

    Based on current form,ceteris paribus (all else being equal), I'd say LCW has the edge. The problem is his mentality issue whenever he plays Lin Dan, and that complicates matters making it difficult to predict.

    It's not a major, just enjoy a great match, for each match they play means one match less to watch as they near their retirement.

    Please, no hate on either Lee chong Wei or Lin Dan please. The GOAT will play hi long time rival and another fabulous player, lee chong Wei. Regardless of who wins, just enjoy the match and respect the two great players!!

    I Will be blunt.........


    This match sucks........No pair has the ability to finish rallies and every rally consist of 100 shots atleast....Organisers,court 2 is there for such matches...

    Absolutely correct.. Inspire of having so many opportunisties the so called "#1" can't kill the rally..

    I'd say the answer lies more in Lin Dan's hands, depends on how much he wants to win it. Don't forget tomorrow there's another match and we know who will be waiting for them.

    If today's match is the final, I'm sure both Lin Dan and Lee CW will fight like hell, regardless of form. Then I'd say Lin Dan would likely step up his game and take it as he certainly won't want to lose the final to his archrival and old foe.

    As it is,pardon me, I really can't give you a simple answer; you know,life is always more complicated than that.
