Too bad today is another one whole day work for me so guess I will miss the exciting matches today. But then on and off I will still check the scores at my workplace.

Already started working since early this morning. Anyway so nice to see many nice matches line up today. Those matches at court 1 are definitely the most exciting ones. Later will try my level best to find time to watch those matches at court 1.

2011 World Championships match points were much better and will be remembered for ages.

Yes that was also fun. But in retrospect, the Malaysia Open one seems to gain more impact every time he tries to win the title there.

Has LD won SO before? As for SDK, it will be straight set win by LD in SF, that chap seems determined to want this one.

Well, all of Sony s wins have been over younger opponents, so age is not a good prediction criterion. Sony has tougher matches than LD plus two more qualifying matches; that would surely affect his stamina.
Usually the match before is probably more indicative going deeper into the tournament. Sony had a gruelling QF match, LD had a stroll. Still, you never know. Sony has his lovely wife as coach to support and inspire him, LD has two boring coaches to bore him. Plus, as CHN fans will readily tell you, it depends on whether Superdan wants to win and he may not want to meet the other finalist. Especially if he s the HK dragon who slayed the CHN dragon, coming from nowhere.

But I m happy for Sony. He did not just defeat WZM but at least some line judges as well. Singapore Open line judges have shown they deserve the lemon award more than All England. Good thing today s match will have Hawkeyes,

This is a Li Ning sponsored event.

Why do they put two CHN vs CHN matches on the non-TV court?

I don't expect Sony to win, but I think he can deliver a very good fight.
I suppose LD will first make Sony run, expecting him to run out of gas.

TV court showing best matches in 5 disciplines, today. It must be an excitement watching it live at Singapore.

I just realised that Lin Dan will play Bonny China Masters just 2 days after Singapore Open and then Asian Championships just 2 days after China Masters.

Sony was having a difficult time against WZM.

This lady in red cajoled Sony to fight to the last and give his last once of energy if needed.
In the end, Sony has to prevail with the encouragement from his wife/coach?

As much as I wish Sony the best intention to reach the final for 1 last time in SING Open, he can't possibly win against Lin Dan.
Sony has been very fortunate to pass his opponents so far in the tournament; He made the qualifier; he defeated Ginting, Sho Sasaki and WZM.

There is a quota of five matches. The surprise is HK has only one representative and he s not on TV court. You don t think there s enough Li Ning presence on TV? Perhaps the organizers are not guaranteed the CHNvCHN matches won't be fake. Look out for China Masters having them on TV court.

Tian Qing and Ma Jin were stroking on court 1 for a short while. Then, they were asked to leave the court for cleaning.
