A star-studded cast from every nation/MA, all out in full force making the long-tradition, prestigious All England, dubbed the mini-WC in some circles, one of the strongest tournaments ever.

For me, I'm glad to see He Bingjiao given a chance to debut in a premier Superseries tournament. But I'm a bit surprised by CBA's inclusion of Xue Song instead of say Qiao Bin, Huang Yuxiang.

At the same time, CHN's selection of their WD, XD and MD lineup is indicative of their possible and probable Rio Olympic strategic configuration, notably the absence of Cai Yun, Lu Kai's regular MD partner, who is replaced by Liu Cheng who is Lu Kai's occasional partner, for this important Olympic cycle tourney. No doubt, Lu Kai/Liu Cheng are not expected to vie for the MD Olympic ticket (too late for them), Cai Yun dropping out of the race is practically confirmed.

Does not look like this year's draw. Wang Yihan and Okuhara should not meet in the first round, both of them are seeded !

Ratchanok Intanon vs Akane Yamaguchi 2nd Round could be a Blockbuster encounter.

Both MS and WS are tough this time. Top half of WS has players like Carolina, Nozomi Okuhara, Wang yihan, Ratchanok inthanon and Akane yamaguchi

Bottom half of WS has players like Wang shixian, Sindhu, Saina , Li xuerui, Tai tzu ying and Sung ji hyun.

According to me, both are equally balanced.

Wang Shixian couldn't have asked for an easier draw. It's now or never oppurtunity for her to grab her 3rd All England title.

No way. She has to meet Sindhu in the second , possibly Lixuerui in quarters . She will be defeated by either of these two.
