Chen Yufei withdrawn, not surprising, but He Bingjiao didn't ,is a surprise and she has to defend her JPN Open title next week, playing her 5th back-to-back tournament ! How can HBJ survive such a difficult challenge as she's known to have fitness/stamina issues ? To toughen her up in tournament conditions, maybe.

This tournament feels like an extended military service applicable to not just Koreans but also International athletes.

I'm rather supporting Ygor Coelho than Emil Holst. Go Brazil...!!!

    Match point... and take it...

And Ygor Coelho booted out Emil Host, one of the most promising young up-and-comers, in three sets

The Indonesia ranking is much better that Lee Dong Keun, and H2H Jonatan with Lee Hyun Il is favoring Jonatan
So it actually is as expected by the Indonesians

Can't agree more. After Ygor, his opponent is gonna 'only' be Anders Antonsen (QF) and Wang Tzu Wei (SF).
Very good opportunity to at least reaches the final to meet SWH

Wow, just watched the Yamaguchi match. That was by far the worst I've ever seen her play. She was also royally p...ed off about her game, even hitting herself with the racket. If she does not find form asap, she'll likely fall to the next Chinese teenager.
I wonder if she's struggling with her racket, she changed to the Astrox 77 ahead of the WC.

Antonsen and WTW are no easy meat for Jonatan. They both have a lot better ranking, and perform better in recent SS tourneys, but he has a chance. All the best for Jonatan.

TTY vs Minatsu Mitani is very tight match

Minatsu catching up from 17-20, she saves 3 match points and finishing first game 23-21
