This set Uncle Mark's OCD off bigtime. Did nobody catch it?

Maybe the sign maker thought he was adding a touch of European class by giving "continue" a French-like flair.

(Gosh Mark, you must have just loved Eats, Shoots and Leaves)

Yep - it's on my book shelf not two feet from me right now. I'm also a qualified proofreader, so my antenna is always powered up.

Of course, like all grammar fascists, I'm infuriated that not everybody is as enraged by this kind of thing as I am:D.

I love Engrish:), and I can forgive non-English speaking countries for errors - I'm not that much of a fascist. Besides, I doubt I could render a sentence in Mandarin/Bahasa/Malay with the kind of maniacal accuracy I demand with English...

Here's a sign for you Mark, proudly mounted outside a local grocery store. An extra bit was added shortly before Canadian Thanksgiving:

New store hours. We NEVER close:
    Open 24/7 - seven days a week.
    CLOSED THANKSGIVING

(one feels sorry for the more poorly run stores that are open 24/7 only six days a week.)

Here, just for you George, is a picture of a house in my town owned by a local surgeon. Not included is his neighbouring brother's house (a cardiologist) who vies for Christmas supremacy each year. Sibling rivalry.

... and here's a couple more from our Atlantic shores. These are photos from a weather webpage, submitted by local folk. We rarely get a white Christmas here. But this year the snow came -- just like we ordered -- on December 23rd. :)

This is my niece on her family's property on scenic Cape Breton Island. Her parents aren't pro photographers but I thought this photo's composition is quite good.

Some photos I took during my 6am morning run. I usually wouldn't stop, but the view was too beautiful to miss out on. Shot with Samsung Galaxy S phone camera..
