Did you get a chance to compare with vs850 yet?

Not yet really, haven't had enough court time. It's good though, well worth trying if you like VS850 as I do. I will say that the repulsion is good, the feel is fairly good, and I like the texture of Ashaway strings for slices and drops and off forehand drops etc. A good all rounder. Will see how it settles in the next couple of weeks.

Would yo say the zymax 67 is the closest to bg80 in terms of play? deciding between which reels to buy

Panda has not tried ZM67 in a while. On Monday he has 15 reels coming so will re-try the latest Ashaway ZyMax offerings.

    So far, for this Panda:

+For best feel/control/crisp response, it's ZM62 at 30-31lbs. But power will be relatively lacking. The high-pitched ping and crisp response is second to none. Strung up a few new ZM62s at 30lbs. for Scottish Pro Alistair Casey and he said it's hands down the best string he ever tried. That's some testament.

+For best power ZM70 at 32-33lbs. Let it settle down and set in after a couple of days, it drops to about 30-31lbs. and it's got a loud, deep, bassy BOOM to go along with the power.

once again, the Zymax 67 proves that they are really good
I use it with my MX80, the feeling, responsiveness, it's just there and never let me down
    I love it :)

hmm zymax 67 is indeed really good. i strung my sw35 with it at 25lbs (silver) and used it for around 5 months.

but its really strange cuz i restrung my sw35 with a red zymax 67 recently and it popped already... i played with it for less than a week!!

its not from same stringers but theyre both reputable... first one was from Eric and the second one was from a coach I know. so im not sure what happened...possibly too many mishits ? the second one was strung @ 26lbs

sadly, any string could popped anytime (usually bad misshit)
    not only zymax 67

also, did you give your string enough time to settle in? (do not use it for few days, usually 1-2 days, to be safe, 3-4 days)
because if the sting has not settle in, it will be more prone to break

    @ Avenger,

Is that true? And if so, why? I broke my red '70, in less than a hour. It was freshly re-strung at 25lbs.

probably just from manufacturing problem, my yellow ZM67 popped on first warm up, while the red one lasted a few months. back to red ZM62 now :D

I'd say tension is more important than string. Just remember the thinner the string, the less tension you'll need for the same repulsion.

I´m just testing the new version ZM67 and I must say it snaps a lot.
    - RSL Nova 6160 27lb - snaps within 0,5 hour play
    - MX80 27lb - snaps within several strokes, I restrung it and snaps again within 0,5 hour play
    - TC500 27lb - snaps within several strokes

Compared with BG65Ti and even BG65 it´s really fragile string

It's true it is more fragile since it is thinner. But are you sure it is not because of mishits?

I had a racket strung with the old Zymax 67 at 30lbs, and it lasted a month easily, as long as I was not mishitting.

    same question with alapongtai case
did you give time for the string settle down?
you need few days (3-4 days) to string settle down, if not it will prone to break

I got my ZM67 @ 22-23 lbs and it lasted for 1 year

It´s new version, ivory colour. I doubt the reasons of snaps were mishits as my style of play is constant. I speculate that the prestretching might be a reason of snapping.
