    Hi all,

after many years of running the old software, it is time for BC to upgrade to the latest version of the forum software. the new software is much more bug free and provide much more powerful features such as an article/content management system and much more powerful moderation features (so we can ban you even faster when you don't behave. ;) )

there are still tons of work that needs to be done to customize it for BC, so please bear with us.

as a regular member of BC, you will find that it is different yet similar to the old software. i hope the change won't cause much inconvenience for you.

it is still work in progress but do let us know if you run into any issues.

please go around and explore the new feature in the new software. please let me know if you see things that look wrong, things that are broken, or thing that shouldn't be there, or anything else.

many of you will hate it cause it is different than what we had before. but at the same time, many will like it. please bear with us while it is being deployed, it will take some time to transition.

for now. it is 6am and i need to get some sleep. ;) :)

Wow...i thought i woke up on the wrong side of the bed after my jetlag..

(okay, jetlag is starting to wear off)..

..what a change!!:cool:...i definitely will have to get use to this change..

    Some inputs from me:
    - The SEARCH feature is now a bit more visible. That is a good improvement.
    - Reading & typing the posts is a bit "harder" for me. I don't know, maybe cos the letters & display are smaller/wider than before..
    - The smileys. When posting, they're back to normal on the right hand side. But the ones at the bottom are different.
    - I haven't tried or experienced the other new features nor seen anything different from the last time..so, can't really say much, yet..

other than those, everything else looks okay..

Hmm...is it just me? somehow, I kinda prefer the old look of BC; overall, when I look through the posts, I get this "cluttered" feeling; the font sizes are smaller, the thread titles come with information like " started by XXX on Xdate and Xtime"; it seems like trying to squeeze a lot of information in the available space; it seems to be the other extreme end when it gets to the thread posts per se: lots of empty spaces with disproportionately small fonts; BTW, the dialogue box with quotes seem to extend beyond the boundaries of each post.....sorry for being so fussy....hope that despite the different appearance, the actual features are better
