Another thing under ADVANCED SEARCH feature..

..in the previous version, when we want to do an advanced search for a topic or keyword, there would be a list of sub-forums where we can select...Now, we don't have that feature..

*nevermind, found it under the Search Single Content Type tab..

me woke up late, again and i had to rub my eyes twice. I thot bc/bf got hacked or got sucked into a bigger bulletin site.
Oh well, the world keeps on evolving and i need to tag along i suppose. :D

Look smooth and easy on the eyes.. I dont think it is copying Facebook.. just enchancing its looks. Im still not used to it... add friends features? is this a Facebook or Friendster?

Another thing about editing & typing post in Advanced mode..

..in Advanced Mode, when typing long post/msg, once we get to a certain line or length, when we want to put our cursor on a line to edit, the cursor would jump back up. It's almost as in facebook when we type a long msg, the cursor would jump back up rather than stay at that specific line..
    - No one is saying BC is copying facebook:p...just the layout & colors theme mainly resemble that of fb..
    - The Add Friend feature has been there before in the previous edition>was Buddy List, if not mistaken..

Maybe the first thing Kuwn should to ease the confusion is to change the vBulletin banner to badminton central?

this is my first post under the new system, I tried to log in this morning, but the server was being upgraded. I prefer the old system, I still need to explore and have a look.

Maybe Kwun picked the colours and design to look futuristic, like the Nanospeed series, the colours and design will eventually grow on all of us.

    Testing Smilies :mad::crying:;):eek::confused::rolleyes::eek:;):cool::):p:D

Do You Like The New Badminton Central Forum Layout ?

Hi Mods, any chance we could get a poll going here or something ? Just to see what everyone is thinking about the new upgraded forum, so far I have found it to be quicker, but still getting used to it.

    Three options

    Yes
    No
    Still unsure

guys. the forum look is the default one that came with the software. i still need time to improve it. it is a bit pre-mature to say whether you like it or not since it will for sure change in the immediate future.

the best thing that you can do is to give me feedback and let me know what needs to be improved.

i've seen some comments about the layout being a bit wide and texts/fonts a bit small...can you run a test changing those 2 items, just to see??..or you need to shut down the server for a couple hrs to change them?..

    ok somethings I have noticed.

If possible, could you replace the VBulletin thing with Badminton Central ? When you get the time. And also when I first got to the forum today there was something somewhere about seafood ? Can't remember where it was, but I defenetly saw it, which led me to think I had clicked the wrong button or something, but when I saw that a post had been made be you, I knew I was on the right place.

Very much liked the wide screen look. Hope it stays this way! This is specially good for longish posts because it won't look like canned sardines. Anyways going to the ''Go Advanced'' mode can always revert us back to the old format.

This format is just great! Super!

I remember seeing some forum sites with options to personalize by selecting certain color schemes which we like. This would help as I do find the background too bright for viewing. Another suggestion is to introduce the option to enlarge or reduce viewable font sizes. Some of us users are still using smaller display monitors like the 15" or 17"; the characters displayed here might be too difficult for us to view. Moreover please consider that seniors with aging vision will definitely have difficulty in viewing smaller characters on a white background.

Can all these options be customized for us individuals? I hope Kwun can help answer this posting.
