Rian Sukmawan has left Pelatnas early this year and he's now back at Djarum. His new partner is Eng Hian, who also left Pelatnas. I watched them during the SO Round 1/16 match against CCM/KKK. Not too bad...as they managed to win one set, however, they are still new and we will see if Djarum continues to send them for overseas tournaments.

Djarum is a corporate sponsored club by Djarum, a famous cigarette manufacturer in Indonesia. I beleive Djarum is owned by the Sampoerna family who is like one of the richest man in Indonesia like the Wal Mart family here in the USA. In Indonesia similar to Japan, big corporations have their own badminton team whom they sponsor. And their team will play against other corporate teams throughout the year. And Djarum team is considered to be the best producing players in the nations. That is why most of the National Players are actually fed by this Djarum club. IN fact, because of the fame of producing top world class players, Djarum has now just open up the world class training center in Kudus, Indonesia where even foreign players can go there to train. The facility is also world class with full air conditioned, and rooms for player dorms.

    is that really his friendster?

Is that the true friendster of him? Because I know some players have friendsters account as well, but all are vague.

So, is this really Rian Sukmawan himself?

chyvin, can you confirm this? or anyone?
