Asian TUC Preliminary Round 2012 is also Asian Team Championships?

    The last Asian Team Championships in 1993, just playing Men's Team event.

    Looks like all will participate, including China and Korea women. Everyone wants to play to get Olympic points.

    But what if the Thomas/Uber Cup defending champions are not getting placed in the top 5? Will they not qualified ?

    Also, if the main aim is just to get Olympic points, maybe nobody is serious in the final, even though the Asian team champion title is the stake.

    KOR will participate only for Men's Team according to Entry by Country Name that published through BAC website.

    Yes, Korea women does not need to participate and I think they are wise not to participate. They can concentrate on other event to gain the points.

    Indeed, they capitalise the privilege as defending champion ;)
