Again, india's weakness in doubles exposed. India's strength in singles not utilised. India's strong Women's singles players did not participate.

what just happened there, leading 16-14 and a game to good AP/SR just lost the script gave away 7 of the last 8 pts in g2 and voila confidence level=0 started the decider with bashing 9-0 down, lost tamely in the end.
Ind went down to Thailand 2-3
I thought its kinda a destiny IND plays Thailand in QF and pull-of a trick like they did in the past two UC QF and fix a bronze each atleast. JG/AP and then Ruthvika did in the past occasions but today it certainly felt the need of leading lady in WS

We have to be patient till 2019-20 for Doubles to step up and improve. It is a steep learning curve for them.

A pity, in the 5th tiebreaker, IND XD was one game up, and leading a good part of the way in G2 before a late spurt by the Thais forced an equalizer, then suddenly in the decider the Thai pair was on a roll to clinch a crucial victory to earn a semifinal spot. A miss is as good as a mile.

Frankly, apart from KOR and next JPN, followed by HKSAR, who practically sent their A Teams, the rest are without some of their aces, making it somewhat hard to predict the outcomes. This mixed team event is just the precursor to the Sudirman Cup, not to be taken too seriously, esp for the already qualified teams whose main aim is for their young guns to gain the much-needed experience of competing in team championships.
