Ladies was pretty packed thunder, if you need people to play with, I'd be more than happy to loan out another southpaw to give you a good workout. If you're really itching for a good challenge, perhaps I can loan out my program director for a quick match. I've got a few exciting ideas on how to make sure there is always somebody waiting to have a good game with somebody who just drops in. As for some of the other issues, like I said, Badminton Vancouver is far from perfect, but my ears are always open to constructive feedback, its how we make things better.

Fantastic turnout to ladies night! Thanks everyone for your patience, I know the lineup to get in was out the door at some points. I hope everyone enjoyed the discount on bubble tea, it was a great success. What exciting things are we going to roll out next ladies night?

Had a chance to visit BV today. And briefly chatted with Dave and Ben. Nice fellas. I was impressed with how modern chic it looked. The bathrooms/changing rooms were like out of Holt Renfrew. Top notch. Mezzanine also looked great too. Took a few pics to show to my Sunday group.

I think it's courts 1 and 4 (from the numbers I saw on the netting) that are closest to the staircase.

As long as it's cartoons...I think the kids will be happy.

Thanks for the tour. I think my group (kids in tow) could switch to BV after our credits at C1 are finished. Just need to show the pics to the group and see what the wives think about having the kids watch TV for 2 hours.

Went to play last night for drop in, the courts were absolutely empty! Do people only play on the weekends?

Depends on what time you're there. I was there 7-9pm last night and the peak time seems to be 8-9pm when there was only 1 empty court.

I see, I would have expected most people to stay for the whole drop-in hours. I guess that isn't the case. I didn't arrive till 10pm till close as I had stuff to do during the day.

Too bad I have had a chance to personally check out the facility yet.

An idea, anyone is up for a late summer meet and we could have it in the BV facility? I am thinking of the time around the Labour Day weekend, Pete_LSD should be back in town during the long weekend; also give an good excuse for some of the forum memebers here to check out the facility if they haven't had a chance.

    Any taker .......

    Cheers

    Ted

I wouldn't mind signing up if someone is able to organize. Keep me in the loop.

I am planning to drop in tomorrow night (Wed). Anyone want to meet up?

As for the weekend drop in, you are better dropping in during the morning drop in sessions ($3.95) and it goes from 8 am to 1 pm (5 hrs!). Last time I did that, there was only 3 or 4 courts in use.

If I'm not heading down to the states tomorrow, I might go again. But I am heading over there now if anyone wants to come play!
