My friend will be staying in Tokyo over the new years and I've learned that there are usually sales during the new years and I am wondering if it is more worthwhile to buy high-end racket in Tokyo than it is in Canada (Locally, I have to fork out about US$185~200 for the newest racket of the arc, nano, and AT series and probably not Japanese made), and if so, which stores in Tokyo would be recommended for such purchase. Thanks in advance for reply.

Try Windsor. FYI, lots of sports-shops (almost all of them sell mid~high end racquets) in Japan are closing down due to the global crisis. These days, the racquets are at around 20~40% discount at most shops.
