BWF and Li Ning/RedBull CHN have reached a 4 year deal from 2013-2016 to sponsor all the major tournaments. (Sudirman Cup, Thomas/Uber, World Championships etc.)

I think this is great news for the sport of badminton. It also puts the pressure on Yonex to step up its game.

Good news. Nice to see Li Ning still in there despite the company having some difficulties. I wonder if it less likely that they sponsor other tournaments.

    Li-ning international breaking news!

In an unprecedented signing ceremony, Li-Ning (Beijing) China Sporting Goods Co. and the Badminton World Federation (BWF) signed a four-year sponsorship deal to support all major BWF events until 2016 including August's world championship in Guangzhou, China; the biennial Thomas & Uber Cup events; and the Sudirman Cup, a world team competition.

It is the first time that the BWF has signed a sponsorship deal which include the rights to all badminton's major badminton events.

the CEO, chief marketing officer, and ecommerce director resigned last summer, and then the company secretary, executive director and CFO resigned in October.

hopefully things are happening for the better.
