Calibrating The Pros Pro Shuttle Express

    Okay I know there is a thread about this somewhere else but I can't find it.
    So here goes.
    To calibrate the Shuttle Express:
    1, Find an hex key thats fits the screws shown in the pictures below.

    2,Loosen the screw in the second picture.

    3, Put a tensioner on one of the racket throat supports and take the other one off. Put the string from the spring balance in the gripper and unhook th locking arm and hold it in place with your hand.

    4,Keep cranking until the spring balance shows your set tension on the gauge. When it does let go of the locking arm and let it lock.

    5,Now loosen the screw in the picture below to drop he release catch and keep pulling tension and adjusting that screw until the tension on the machine is the same as the tension on the spring balance.

    Thanks for this post, my Shuttle Express has been off by roughly 5 lbs too low (e.g. string at 27 lbs to get 22 lbs, confirmed via fish scale) since I bought it and I could never figure out how to fix it. I guess I didn't mess around with those two hex screws long enough...

    Remember to keep the fish scale on for at least sixty seconds. Tension drop comes to a minimum by that time.

    I do the same with my PP Pilot: I only consider tension to be, say, 25 lbs if it stabilizes at 25 after the creep is finished. This way it's closer to (but certainly not the same as) ECP.

    I don't leave my strings for as long as a minute, though; IME ten seconds is enough for a (prestretched) string to "calm down". Any longer isn't worth it for me, as it will never take me more than ten seconds to unclamp, move and reclamp.

    One need to make sure the ring of the scale not touching onto the rubber mounting head 'FRICTION' will give you difference reading!

    I recalibrate mine with the help from this post thanks! But I moved the arm so it is as in the picture below, and use picture frame hanging wire, and stuck a white tape over the markings and redo mine, as I found if I calibrate the high end, the lower end is inaccurate, so I re-mark 18lbs to 33lbs.

    Hello, I hve just bought a Pro's Pro shuttle Express and I would like to calibrate it. Does anyone have saved the pictures because I's quite hard for me to understand without seeing the pictures =s Thank you very much in advance.

    Does anyone still have photos of which hex screws the instructions were referring to on how to calibrate this machine? I have a friend that owns this machine who I was trying to help calibrate. It was 6.5 pounds LOWER than what was set!!

    I contacted Mark from Alpha Sports and he sent me this diagram for calibrating an alpha machine. it should be similar for a pro's pro.

    This method is similar to Gamma's. Using the hex key adjusts the depth of the latch and affects how soon the latch pops out (locks out).

    Thanks! I'll keep that in mind if I ever have to send my Wise2086 for servicing and have to use the crank...

    Your crank is properly set for good :). There is no need to adjust it. :D
