I've done a search on the threads here... I hear people talk about CN Alpha shuttles... but I never heard anyone ever review it or mention if they're any good.

I know the CN Alpha Oranges are the official Hong Kong Badminton Association Training Shuttles... But that's about it.

As a brand, are CN Alpha any good?

I'm looking to tryout the Oranges for practice use, as I'm looking for a good practice/training feather bird with decent price.

was at puppysports in mongkok last fri. had a hard time deciding between aeroplane red and cn alpha gold. so i asked the shop owner what would he recommend, he told me to get the cn alpha. it's hkd135 per tube of 12. got some yonex bg65 strings to for hkd25 each.

Oh nice! My game birds are usually Victor. I usually use Tourney or Champion No. 1's.

I know Aeroplane is a good brand... but they're a lot more expensive if I remember correctly.

I remember a coach I played in HK used CN Alpha... which is why I'm asking as well :)

135 HKD for a tube? Hmm... That's a bit on the high side... Victor Champion No. 1's... I can get for around $111 HKD. I saw CN Alpha Red sell for $106 HKD... and CN Alpha Orange is only $61 HKD!! That's why I'm considering it as a practice shuttle :)

oh, i was in hk for a vacation so i wouldn't know the prices there. what i had in mind are rsl, aeroplane, chao pai and victor w/c are popular in manila. converted to philippine pesos, hkd135 is a decent price for high quality shuttles.

Ahh, yeah. With brands like those, since they're much more well-known, prices are bound to be a bit higher :p

I use CN Alpha Gold Deluxe(78) for a year, it is a good shuttlecock.
You can find it in a sport shop located at Tsim Sha Tsui, Hillwood Road, H.K.
