Well, just accept these list of nominations. Nothing we can do about it.

My bets on this one would be either Han/Zhou or Apri (but for some reason more to the latter?)

    For Takahata, yes
But Sakuramoto is a bit to old for my taste in this category haha

oh, she is older than I thought. she is basically in the same age as Kevin, NO, RI, PVS. no wonder they aren't listed in the most promising award nominees.

Just put one or two JPN players, should be a perfect list for him.

For example, I think Cai Yanyan and Han Yue (they are what, two months older than GJW?) both deserve to be on the list more than GJW. Yes, she's gotten the WJC title, but compare that to Han Yue, who's finished to year with two 300 finals in a row, winning one against Saina Nehwal. I find that slightly more "promising" than winning a junior final against Line Christophersen.

Well, Rahaju is in there, isn't she? Greysia Polii is how old exactly? By that logic, I don't really see how being partnered with Sakuramoto should exclude Takahata. She's won 7 titles this year, including three 300 and one 500 event. What has GMT won? GJW?

Ah, I see your point now. Now, I realize that it seems like BWF doesn't consider a player's achievement from lower tournament, but recognizing the achievement from major junior event?

If you question why GMT is in the list because she doesn't win anything, you should know that CYF won this award without winning anything last year. Winning the title is not the only factor. Since the Uber Cup this year, GMT has improved. She no longer loses to someone who equals to her. From her defeat since Uber Cup, she only loses to top players or veteran like SN and LXR(not sure if I can call her veteran or not). Most of those losses are after she fought in rubber games. She even won against AY in Asian Games (whether AY was in form or not is another matter). She finishes in 2 SF and 1 QF. Her rank is now 15 iirc. Just my thought.

I think bwf has a different criteria. Japanese pair has established themselves by winning many events so they are no longer promising.
Just like KSS. He just won player of the year last year because he is no longer under the category of promising...

Bwf considers players who has unfulfilled potential. Maybe han Yue is considered at her maximum potential?

You make some statement out of the blue about what you presume to constitute my wishes for a list like this, so it seems like you know me. I don't know you, can't recall ever talking to you.
Fairly obvious who's being weird here.

Ah, thanks for the info. Didn't even know CYY won it last year. Maybe they don't hand it out twice? Still, looking purely at this year's achievements, I think the players I mentioned would be more suited.
