I am planning to buy a Gosen Ryoga Shiden and Tenbu from Hong Kong.

I was wondering if there are any fake Gosen Ryoga rackets out there?

Also are the Ryoga racket handles made of all carbon?

    Thx

    Thanks for the reply.

I ordered a Gosen Ryoga Ougi from my local badminton store. Will get it strung and try it out and maybe do a review on it.

    Yes, last one though.

It is rare to find the Ougi right now. It is even harder to find an Ougi in Canada lol. I had to search high and low to find this racket (mainly because I played with a friends Ougi and the balance and stiffness is near perfect for me)

I paid $240 CDN after taxes. Totally worth it.

    Will play with it tomorrow.

There are fakes Gosen Ryogas around... I only get from official distributors.. The Ryoga series are specially crafted in Japan n the workmanship painting is exclusive.. it's a beautiful art yet an extremely proven powerful racquet over the years.

Really? Doubt but not all GOSEN racquets are produced in China.

Anyway, all GOSEN racquets will undergo strict quality control in Japan. They have Japanese specialists staffs flown to the respective manufacturing countries just to oversee the production.

I don't know about the old one but all GOSEN racket are made in China. For Ryoga series only the shaft is made in Japan. Take any ryoga series and you wont see Made in Japan sign as in Yonex. Either assembly in China or made in China

Well if it's really made in China, personally, I have no issues with it, the quality is outstanding still, strict quality control by Gosen in Japan. As an end user, it doesn't matter where it were produced so long it doesn't compromise it's quality. The various technology engineered by the Japanese in which Gosen deliver that matters to me.

PS: Many big brands/products nowadays are proudly produced manufactured in China. It is the technology engineered designed and then patented that differentiate one product to another.

Yeah, Gosen is engineered and designed by the Japanese. Of course they have strict quality control. We are talking about an established legendary company stretches all the way back to the 50's! They had been producing excellent products over the years, however I think they were focused on developing and manufacturing working on new technologies rather than going all out advertising, branding etc. If not, they will be as much comparable or even ranked much better than its existing competitors.
