10:00am Paris time? That's plenty early here on the west coast. Don't think I'll be able to last.

Some pretty competitive singles matches in the wings:

    - Porntip v Tine - Euro soil advantage to Tine
    - Schenk v Liu Xin - ditto for Schenk, who's a real tough nut to crack
    - Saina v Sapsiree - a settled Saina to advance
    - Tago v CWF - more even than what a lot of people think. Hard to call
    - Vittinghus v Sasaki - wily Vittinghus to edge this one
    - Boonsak v JOJ - another hard one to call
    - Daren Liew v Hu Yun - you never know which Daren Liew will show up but I think he can win this one

Ma Jin so far not asserting her usual utter dominance. I think she's tired from playing so many matches the past 2 weeks in both XD and WD.

No, Ma Jin is usually the best player in her XD and WD pairing. She usually dominates the net in both events and wins most of the points for her team.

I'm also very happy to see Wang ZhengMing dominate his match with a impressive win.

really  from what i saw, Xu Chen is the lucky one, Ma Jin has a superb defense, net play, wonderful drop shot, many times i saw that mostly the problem is came from xu chen.

no offense :D its just My Opinion

Ma Jin making a lot of errors. I think she is very tired from winning 2 titles in Denmark then coming to play in france in 2 events.

She needs to go back to China and have a good rest, get ready for the next premier event.
