You need to go see a physiotherapist immediately. No matter how tempting or simple the answers may look, please don't begin any exercises or stuff before taking professional help. You may end up making things worse, and recuperation can then become a long and slow process.

Best wishes for a fast and complete recovery! :)

From your description, It looks like a 'Pulled Groin' and if you are unable to walk, it is better that you consult a doctor.. Pain & difficulty could be because of Muscle spasm and swelling/bruising but you should definetly seek help..

icing is very important for any muscle/tendon injuries, especially in the first 1-2 days

if this doesn't help after 2 days or if you notice any bruising discolouration, then it may be a more serious injury and you'll need to seek a doctor's advice in person
