Next years Korean Open and Taipei Open have been put back in the Calendar. This puts them in around the same period as the Japan Open.

Would it be too difficult to group the other less prestigious Opens in a similar fashion? Like HK Open and US Open are out on a limb. This can't be very good for increasing entries. Perhaps US Open with a Canadian Open (Open in Canada? Is that a political hot potatoe?)

    HK Open with Thai Open?

Then players wouldn't have to go travelling very far distances for just one tournament.......

This is being done alrady Cheung. In Europe it is Germany, Holland and Denmark in October, followed by Wales, Scotland and
Ireland in Late November/early December and in spring Sweden,
Switzerland France England and Poland in cosequetive weeks.
So that is not to bad.

Good idea, Cheung. I don't see any political problems for US/Canada grouping since the War of 1812 has been over for a while. In fact, the US Senior Nationals and a Canadian Senior Open were held within a week of each other a few years ago and lots of US players made both events. The US & Canadian Opens would be even better.

If you go to the IBF calendar, certain events are coloured yellow. These look like the more 'important' grand prix events.
Some of them are isolated, e.g. HK, Thailand, US.
