Well, no doubt her appearance on the magazine cover is occasioned by her return to the national team: CHINA MASTERS 2010 – Hwang Hye Youn is back! Posted on September 1, 2010 Korea’s former top women’s singles shuttler Hwang Hye Youn is back on the national team and headed for the China Masters.
Event, now that HHY has been reinstated into the KOR national team, can I haven your opinion if this is warranted. More importantly, is this the right decision? In her current condition, is she on par with the other girls on the national team? I am concerned.
..hopefully Hwang HY won't go down the same road as her previous compatriot, Jun Jae-youn, who also had the same injury struggles in her playing career and had to end her competitive career much to madbad's dismay..
i wonder when hye youn will on the match again :crying: ..and i'm a little bit shocked to know that she was born on 1966 is that true?
Haha, you got the wrong Hwang Hye Youn. The one you refer to is born on Apr 3, 1985 Here's her profile on BWF: http://www.bwfbadminton.org/page.aspx?id=15539 I don't think she will feature prominently for KOR in the future unless she rediscovers her pre-injury form. Even then she was not one of the top players in the world. I would love to see her in a few more tournaments before she rides into the sunset
The 1992 Olympic WD gold medallist (born in 1966) is named Hwang Hye Young. That's one letter different from Hwang Hye Youn, both in hangeul and in the Romanization.
I miss her so much on the court!!! I hope she comes back soon! maybe in XD... I am just hoping to see her again. she is very pretty. I saw her giggling with a teammate while watching LYD&JJS pair's game. very cute even though she is older than me lol
