INA Thomas Cup simulation match will be held in Bandung and Batam with focus to search fourth men's singles player to join Thomas team member. Now, there're several candidates who probably will fill that position such as Tommy Sugiarto, Alamsyah Yunus and Andre Kurniawan Tedjono.

-Part 1 : 23 February 2008 (18.00 WIB) -- Bandung, West Java for Thomas Cup only because major of Uber Cup team members will concentrate to German Open 2008 (26 Feb - 02 March 2008). This simulation provides prize money IDR.50,000,000 where Rajawali (eagle) team faces Harimau (tiger) team. Here's the squad member :

    *Rajawali team :
    MS1 - Taufik Hidayat
    MS2 - Andi Nugroho
    MS3 - Yoga Pratama
    MD1 - Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan
    MD2 - Flandy Limpele/Candra Wijaya

    *Harimau team :
    MS1 - Simon Santoso
    MS2 - Sony Dwi Kuncoro
    MS3 - Indra Bagus
    MD1 - Joko Riyadi/Hendra Aprida Gunawan
    MD2 - Luluk Hadiyanto/Alvent Yulianto

-Part 2 : 28 or 29 March 2008 -- Batam, Riau Islands will play Thomas and Uber Cup simulation

badMania, Si Tommy, Alam and Andre will take part in second simulation match of Thomas Cup (28 or 29 March/08) because their participation in German Open GP as we know its schedule is very close with first simulation.

The conclusion that I read from several medias, Tommy/Alam/Andre together with Indra Bagus, Yoga and Andi have same opportunity to become 4th MS player in INA Thomas team which will be decided next April.

Indra,Andi and Yoga have no chance to be number 4 as they have not played a number of tournaments yet ( belum banyak jam terbangnya...bisa bisa grogi sebelum main)....only Andre and Tommy have a real chance to be number 4...I prefer Andre to Tommy as number 4...Tommy is lack of fighting spirit.....

Yeah, based on current performance and competing experience in international tournaments definitely Andre is the right one for 4th MS player spot.

Indeed....Alamsyah Yunus, Andi Nugroho, Yoga Pratama, and Indra Bagus have ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE of becoming INA's no 4 pair.

Tommy Sugiarto has a slim chance, while Andre Kurniawan Tedjono should be the one that will take the last ticket as he has shown that he has enough experience playing and beating some top players.

A good effort by Simon Santoso.
    AG/Joko lost marginally to Kido/Hendra.
What's more important is Luluk/Alvent's good performance. It's crucial that they regain their confidence. A quarter-final showing at the AE and Swiss Open SS will be required of them.

News update from KOMPAS dailynews (26/02/2008) :

Special selection planned to pick fourth Men's Singles player will be held after Suisse SS tournament (11-16 March/08). Three Pelatnas players who will be selected to fill that position are Tommy Sugiarto, Alamsyah Yunus and Andreas Adityawarman.

This selection actually will involve non-Pelatnas player, Andre Kurniawan Tedjono (PB Djarum Kudus) but Lius Pongoh as PB PBSI Head of Athlete's Performance Building, Sunday (24/02) in Bandung said selection which involved outside Pelatnas player will be discussed together with other PBSI official.

Lius said, world ranking isn't enough as indicator to choose number four player. "They have almost same capability so they will be selected. The selection has different atmosphere because every player will push hard effort to be chosen although their ranking is low," said Lius.

Meanwhile, Christian Hadinata as Thomas and Uber Cup 2008 Head Coach said players will face each other in selection. "After that decision will be determined according to selection result ranking," he added.
