Sorry to be 'off-topic' but my age is almost 1/2 a century n the word 'galau' might be in the Indonesian dictionary but it is relatively new in its usage n very often MISUSED. I left Indo when I was 12 n returned in 1987 n had not seen the word's usage in media until recently (1-2yrs ago). I am sad n unhappy that many Indonesians are losing our country's roots, cultural and values. Also another Malaysian word that is often used in Indonesian websites is 'UNDUH', which means download. Check it out n see if it is an Indonesian word.

Indonesian badminton is also in a very bad mess, nobody in authority is interested to SERIOUSLY improve our national players performances. We have been going downhill since early 2000s (Olympic Games gold medalists) n up to now yet to see the BOTTOM of it. All our best ex-players are using their experiences n talents to improve OTHER countries badminton, why not our own?

We also used to have the world's best coaches, ie Tong Sin Fu, and our own people just neglected him n made him leave the country. He was Alan Budikusuma's coach and i also believed Lin Dan ex-coach n the person responsible for Lin Dan's superb performance now.

    "unduh" from malaysia ??
hmm... my age is still far from half of century... but i believe, javanese people use this word "unduh" since long time ago...

as for INA badminton, i agree...
many times we have talked about it, and i think all of us agree that PBSI is the root of all problems now...

really, this is time to make them wake up !!

It's an old problem if you have been following INA badminton in the past few years.

PBSI is run by Incompetent officials who know nothing about badminton.

And some players are really not fit to represent INA....eg: Hayom with his totally inept performance and attitude! We can only pray that we have seen the bottom now.

The declining performance of the so-called senior players also make me more interested in following Sirnas and the progress of our young and upcoming players.

I'm Javanese, and of course Indonesian... :D:D I heard 'galau' recently..

as fathonezic said, I don't think "unduh" is malaysian word. I used to heard it when my parents want to take fruits from the tree, they called "ngunduh jambu", "ngunduh rambutan" etc..

I'm sorry, sometimes I can't describe something in english. my bad ... :(

i think the problem of Hayom and Febe is that, they enter to pelatnas "easily", based on their ranking at that time, not by seleknas as other pratama players. maybe it makes them don't have more motivation (and good attitude) than others...

Agreed. Out of the players sent to compete in the Thomas/Uber Cups, Hayom and Febe stood out for their lack of spirit and mental to win against CHN and JPN.

Not defending Febe and Hayom but their performance was better while still @ Djarum compared to now..... Could the problem be in Pelatnas itself?

Whatever the case, its time for a full revamp of PBSI...starting from the top. I remembered there are lots of hope when Djoko Santoso was elected head of PBSI (probably because the other candidate was the notorious Icuk)....but his period of leadership has been a dismal failure, with the exception of a single AE title courtesy of "old" talent.

I don't thinks Febe don't got the spirit.. but she just have no power at all to kill her opponent, got no weapon. That's why she lost meekly.

She will surprise everyone in the Olympics by playing better.

Other than that, XD is the best hope for gold.

Firda has shown better fighting spirit and stretch a couple chinese WS to rubber, so she would be the better choice.
Regardless though, either one will just be fodder and won't reach very far.

True, Maria Kristin has quite a run starting @ IO thru Olympic.... I seriously doubt Firda can duplicate that though. The difference between current INA WS and the top WS are just too much.
