Can somebody explain to me what happened to Lu Lan and Zhu Lin?

Both of these players are former world champions, and they seemed to simply disappear from the world tour.

What caused their sudden decline? Serious Injury? Lack of motivation?

Lu Lan is playing in CBSL but not Zhu Lin who seems to have disappeared. Lu Lan is 25-years-old now, born May 2nd 1987 while Zhu Lin is already 28, born Apr 30th 1984 so I don't expect the latter to make a comeback, the former maybe.

I think they fade away not so much due to injury as loss of form or maybe lack of motivation as well. Not forgetting the intense, high level competition in China with a constant supply of new, up-and-coming players ready to replace anyone on the decline.
