Lee Jhe Huei almost fell trying to reach the net shot and doing a split.

If Lu Kai can fill Fu Haifeng's shoes to the hilt, then this Zhang Nan/ Lu Kai combination will be most outstanding

Zhang Nan may be 'only' 26 years old but somehow I don't think it's a very good idea for him to do double duty all the way to Tokyo 2020 when he'll be almost 30 then. At the Rio'16, if not for his relationship problems with Zhao Yunlei, he might've won double Olympic gold. But for Tokyo 2020 , he'll be having new partners in both the disciplines, not too confident he can pull it off next time.

The TPE players remind me of the MAS Goh/Tan, similar style

I don't think Lukai should be ZN's long term partner. If they are struggling to win even a GP tournament, how are they expected to compete for SS or World Championships?

None of those players would be better. But Zheng Siwei, or Hong Wei, or even Li Junhui should be given a trial.

Hong Wei. Hong Wei/ Zhang Nan would be a masterstroke. Sir Chai Baio and Lu Kai.

What has happened to Huang Kaixiang? He was touted as a doubles player to watch out for by none other than LYB himself.

Nah, Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen is fine. They are already top class.

How rare to see Zhang Nan playing at a GPG event, and rarer still, not winning it.

Yeah, but Zheng Siwei outshines him, both in XD and MD. Anyway Huang Kaixiang is still young, 20 years old, too early to write him off.

Lee Lee ruined CHN clean sweep and restored some pride for TPE after the MS loss.
