Just back from the badminton hall..being there since 6 pm just now and now it's already 12 am.... Lee CW showed very impresive game... he beat tAUFIK STRAIGHT SET, WITH SECOND SET 15-0.. can u believed it? as usual, all the chinese players advanced to semifinal round.. feel dissapointed because cannot see Lin Dan playing due to Chen HOng's withdraw... :-( Hope can see him playing in semifinal..cheers

    My pick

I think Peter Gade has a lot to prove as he has been on the losing side against Lin Dan for so many times, for that I'll pick Peter over Lin Dan. As for Lee Chong Wei vs Boa Chunlai, it will be a close one(just like many thought LCW against Taufik :)) but LCW shall win.
The rest of the picks are easy, I just don't want to see "All Chinese affair" so for :
    WS :
Zhu Lin (Chn) vs Li Li (Sin)
Zhang Ning (Chn) vs Yao Jie (Ned)
final:Li Li (Sin) vs Zhang Ning (Chn)XD:

ME TOO.Will hope for Lili to go all the way.  :cool:Also for LCW to retain his title.Note Jaguh Kampung in a field of the world' best badminton players is still an achievement to be proud of.As for Hafiz your time to be champion is inevitable, just remember to be more aggressive.

this is really what i hope for :D :D :D and i also hope that the english pair can concentrate on this match and not bothered by what happened in london...:(

    Quoted by The Star:
Malaysian Open squad shaken by deadly blasts:
KUALA LUMPUR: English players taking part in the ongoing Malaysian Open badminton championship at the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Stadium are distressed by the bomb blasts in London on Thursday.

The horrific explosions that rocked the London underground and brought transport services there to a standstill has shaken the 13-member squad.

But they are putting up a brave front.

“We just could not believe what we were hearing and seeing on television. Our mobile phones were ringing, and we were calling home. The situation was tense at our hotel,” said women doubles player Gail Emms yesterday.

“It is awful, to be here and hoping and praying that everyone we know is safe back home. My friend was just a mile away from one of the bomb blasts. It is fortunate though that most ofour family members are not staying in London and we are thankful that our friends are safe.”

Women doubles players Ella Trip and Joanne Wright, however, were the most frantic.

“Ella's husband and Joanne's fiance were working in London at that time. Naturally, they were very worried. Both their loved ones are okay but they had to wait a very long time before they could go back home,” said Emms.

She said there was nothing much she and her teammates could do except pray for those affected back home.

“I had to play (in the mixed doubles with Nathan Robertson) immediately after the incident (on Thursday). And it was not easy to concentrate what with the fear and anxiety over what had happened. But we have to go on and complete the matches here,” she said. Emms and Robertson won the silver medal in the mixed doubles at the Athens Olympic Games.
