    more courts

Metro Sports presently is the best badminton place in Cebu. It now has another badminton court on the second floor. Compared with the other courts in Cebu, this is the best (as I said before). Other courts here in Cebu is extremely hot. If you happen to be in Cebu, go there!

Oh, no; that's called Portside. It's an ok badminton place. I sometimes play there. Metro Sports is in Lahug. It's right beside Sunflower City. If you see the Water Front hotel (which you can't miss), you're near it.

I have played in Portside. I remembered the price being the same or slightly higher. I know a few people who say Portside's kinda' hot, same with City Sports. People say you should avoid the second floor courts because, again, it's hot. Honestly, I hardly notice any difference when it comes to the heat.
If you play at the second floor on day time, avoid the court nearest to the stairs; the glare of the window close to it is intolerable. Oh yeah, make sure you watch the MVP cup tomorrow :D. The Asuncions are going to be there and there playing with Robertson and Emms! ;)

How about given us some Filipino lessons on badminton terms especially, for a start? What is the Filipino (Tagalog?) equivalent of these English words:

service (forehand, backhand), long serve, short serve, high serve, low serve, flick serve, short service,

clear, lob, punch, fast clear, drive,

net shot, net tap/dab, net brush, net drop, block, cross-court, net tumble

smash, jump smash, sliced smash, half-court slice, sharp drop, reverse-angle smash/drop, body smash

court - fore, mid and rear, center, side, alley, baseline, net, net height, shuttle, racket, shoes, wrist/knee/ankle band or guard. :)

Uhhh, I just realize we Filipinos do not use Tagalog or any of the local dialects/terms when it comes to badminton terms......:p

Some of the terms requested for translation are:

    fore court - sa unahan
middle or center - sa gitna
    rear- sa likod
    shoes- sapatos
    service -serbisyo
    racket -raketa

Incidentally, we refer to shuttle as 'bola' which literally translates to ball. ;)

    badminton training program in cebu

    Hello cracked

Thanks for the reply. Do they have like a training program? Where can I get information about it? For now I cannot go personally there so a website would be nice.

    Thanks again...
