Yes, just after i post on the day where MM will up against WX.. and i said nothing is impossible.. she made it! That's unbelievable though:D..
unfortunately her fairytale ended yesterday in the hands of CSC of Taipei. Anyway, it's a significant and good improvement from this Japanese girl. Wish to see her playing more in the future:) GAMBATEH:p

I believe BWF stipulates that only a limited number of partipants from a particular country can play in any event. So they probably use the world rankings to decide who to include. There is no reason why Minatsu should have withdrawn from so many big tournaments given her splendid form.

Minatsu probably expended all her energy in defeating Wang Xin to be able to take on Cheng Shao Chieh. But it's a real achievement, irregardless of the rankings. Few players outside China can boast of having been able to beat Wang Xin.

The climb in the rankings initiates a virtuous cycle, in which Minatsu can now play in the bigger tournaments and thus meet and defeat the stronger players.

    .
Minatsu did the right thing by slowly and surely climbing up the rankings by participating in lower level tournaments, like the International Challenges, Grand Prix and Grand Prix Gold.

Perhaps soon, we could find her participating in more Super Series tournaments.

i thought maybe the absence of the national team A players
such as Tago,Sho,Eriko,Miyuki is the reason!
after all, Japanese knows them much than the team B players...

First time I'm seeing Minatsu playing badminton. Her actions are really very animated. More importantly, her arm can move especially fast. She swings her racquet like a whip. I think she has the makings of a champion.

What does she scream out with her cute little high pitch voice in between the points? First I didn't think it was her doing that, but near the end, you can see her lips sync with the sound.

She isn't mouthing any intelligible words, lol. I have heard that exact same whine from female players in other sports too, as well as many different variations of it. They usually start the habit very early in their playing life, and I believe it's a shortened version of 'Come on Baby', which probably takes too much effort to say so many times.
