We are a group of old men and are regular social kampung players who play for fun/fitness. We are based in Toa Payoh and may be looking for a few new players to join our group in the near future.

Here's our players' standard (high beginners?):
    - emphasis is on gameplay (well, some of us...) ie court positioning/court awareness/shot selection (we try to use our brains lah)
    - may be able to execute proper strokes and footwork but lack success in match situations or lack quality/accuracy

Please send me a PM if you are keen.

    Cheers

PS. Stylo-milo players or players with attitude problems need not apply hor. thank you. :)

    Hi Bruce,

Its fun playing with you guys, especially with Low's diving stunt. I admired his never say die approach(fighting spirit) die die must pickup the birdie. I was once like him, diving all over the court but now age catches up,got to put on the brakes.
You mentioned in the forum "we are a group of old men" surprise me upon meeting and playing with your guys. I was probably expecting around my age group or even older.
Anyway, thanks for the game guys.Looking forward for the next session.

    Warmest regards,
    Jimmy

Hi Jimmy, hope you had a good game yesterday.

haha sorry for the 'misunderstanding'. Our players' age range from 35 to 50 years old (i think). I am the youngest in the group but feel old already and am too slow to play against youngsters lah. btw I think you move much faster than me :) Some, if not all of the guys, always play their hearts out (however we don't encourage performing diving stunts on the hard parquet floor :D ).

    See you soon. Cheers

Yes Bruce, enjoyed the game very much.
Fully agreed with your statement of playing their hearts out. This game is all about trying to outplay each other, thus making the play far more exciting and challenging even though its just a social game.
You,being the youngest yet feel 'old' gave me satisfaction for being 'oldest' yet feel 'young',haha :D
Wanted to join in Iwan's group on Mon.but slots already all taken up.

    Best regards,pal

Please consider this thread as closed as I forgot to close it.

Am afraid we have too many players (around 12) using one court. It was frustrating for my organiser to check the headcount as some dun bother to inform the organiser that they are turning up, and turn up whenever they feel like doing so.

    Cheers

We are no longer taking in new players as we have too many players (around 12) using one court.
