The purpose of grommet punch and grommet gun are different.

Grommet punch is used to insert grommet into the hole.

Grommet gun is used to melt the end of the grommet(for shared hole) to prevent tearing purposes.

Ah, that's what i wasn't getting from the photos (I can't read Korean). Neat idea though.

I use a plastic G clamp with a metal cone to carefully splay the trimmed grommet, then finish off with the handle of a plastic awl for a similar result.

The grommet gun is made based on the glue gun. (actually This is a custom-made tool )
so it looks like a glue gun.

Victor has one that looks like a soldering iron (probably way lower temperature).

the gluegun is an excellent idea, as it is low temp to start with.

looks like anyone DIY something similar. can go buy a glue gun for like $10 and then stick a round headed nail or screw at the tip.

    thank you for sharing!

as I say... it is multi-purpose.. it can insert/extract grommet. it can also create shared hole (truppet holes) .. all in one... not just a punch..

this tools that I used is a wonder.. very easy to use! step 1 : remove all damage grommets (small) by change the fittings.. step 2: replace all grommets... step 3: remove all the shared grommets with a changed fitting.. Last step: change the tool's fitting and clamp the truppet shape for all the shared grommet.
