Some reasons of wearing wrist and arm bands.

    1) Prevent sweat from the arm to flow down to the hand/handle.
    2) Wipe sweat.

I am not sure what kinds of wristbands they are wearing in the game(s).

However, some wristbands are kind of like wrist supports. It protects your wrist from bending/stretching too much.

This is exactly the reason why I wear it on my racket hand. ;)
