Well you should probly go with 22 pounds then , its still quite low tension , and will give you power

Muscle Power 630? The highest number in the Muscle Power range is 100. Are you sure the racket is genuine? Read the shaft of the racket and tell me what it says.

Wow, I've never seen one of those before. What is the serial number (on shaft) and cone code?

I would recommend you string it at around 22-24Lbs. If you tell us what tension you're playing now and what you think of it, we could probably give you better advice.

Yea, I've seen them before at Decathlon, but they are the racket stock from France, all FR coded. I think (might be wrong) this is actually the MP 29.

I use Decathlon quite regularly and have never seen one in there. Why would Yonex need to make an MP630? I'm especially unsure if you say it is just an MP29.

To make this post constructive, I would recommend you use Yonex BG-65 or BG-80 strings.

Just find a good stringer and ask him/her to string it as hard as he/she feels the frame can take..

I'm not sure if the OP could deal with that sort of tension so it's probably best we give him some more advice :D

I'll just re-iterate my idea from earlier; Yonex BG-65 at 22-24Lbs.

    Hi DanStevens,

Saw this racket at Decathlon perhaps about 2 years ago, they came with free bag, and they were on sale. I asked the sales rep, that I didn 't know they made 630s, he said it was a repackaged MP29 (really?). Likewise they sell AT300, which is actually not avaliable (as far as I've seen) in UK.
I think sales person showed me both next to each other, had very similar specs, and weight etc... That's where I heard, not sure if he knew his stuff or not. Anyhow, back to subject on strings (for VS099), BG80 would be my pick.

Yeah, it should be fine. It may take some getting used to if you're used to stock strings but it should be a great combination.

Mp630 is largely marketed in Asia region.
Some are in Europe, saw few in JJB/Sports direct etc in UK in the last couple of years.
Not a bad racket for the price....usually around £35-£40 in the UK.

What string tension do you usually use? With BG 80 you'll most likely have to lower your tension by about 10% (but don't go lower then 23lbs)

im only using 24lbs but now im using 27lbs because i dont want to take the risk of destroying my mp 630. im using karakal nano tech but im only trying it because the stringer said that it was great but im going to replace it after 2 months. ^___^
