Tao clocked 25.78sec in the short course event at the Singapore Sports School, while her Danish rival took gold in 25.42sec. Inge Dekker of the Netherlands (25.92sec) was third. In the mixed 4x50m freestyle relay, Singapore took the bronze medal in 1min 35.55sec.
