I am the tournament organiser for the South Glamorgan Open, which is a tournament being run as part of the new Welsh Senior Series. The series is open to all UK Club players (of all levels) who actively wish to compete in more than just their individual League/County matches.

It is being held on 1st November at the new National Velodrome Centre, Newport. There will be singles and both mixed/level doubles.

First rounds will be done on a group basis, while qtr/semi finals will be straight knock-out.

Cost per event is £5 or 3 events for £12.

For further information please contact southglamopen@SGCBA.co.uk or visit the Welsh Badminton Union website - www.welshbadminton.net.

    Regards,
    Sean Smith
    Arches Badminton Club, Cardiff

PS: For the England players, in terms of playing standard it will probably be overall a grade lower than some of your better England Satellite tournaments.

    Hi everyone,

Just a quick reminder that entries close in 2 weeks. If you would like to enter or perhaps what to know some more details then please email seanrachy@ntlworld.com

Please note it is open to all UK based players - not just the Welsh !

    Cheers,
    Sean
