Dear Members, Badminton Supporters and Friends

Sports Specific Volunteer applications for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games close this Friday - 29 April 2005.

Please let your members and badminton friends know that this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the largest international sporting event held in Australia since the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games – and it is right here in our back yard in Melbourne!

Being part of the badminton workforce at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre will be an exciting time for people in badminton.

You can volunteer at the badminton competition in areas such as Administration, Results, Field of Play Operations, Training Venue and Sports Services. Some of the volunteer roles are:

    • Access control
    • Athltee services
    • Results processing - data entry and statistics
    • Training Venue manager and assistant
    • Sport presentation

See the Badminton Australia website for information on being a Sports Specific Volunteer for badminton and to download the form -
