All the qualifying rounds will be held today (Tuesday). Some players have to win 3 matches in one day to qualify for the main draw. That's crazy.

    MS (2 rounds, 8 qualifiers)
Confused me for a while because China has two representatives here. One called Li Yu and the other called Lu Yi. Malaysia's James Chua is also in the mix.

    WS (3 rounds, 4 qualifiers)
For Q1 alone, I see Wang Lin (Chn), Julia Wong (Mas) and Camilla Sorensen (Den). Only one of them can qualify.
For Q2, I hope Norsyahliza Baharum (Mas) can qualify but there is a Korean in the way.
For Q3, Judith Meulendijks (Ned) is the favourite.
For Q4, US hopes rest on Shannon Pohl.

MD (3 rounds but most have byes, 4 qualifiers)
    Nothing really interesting here.

WD (3 rounds but most have byes, 4 qualifiers)
For Q2, Mia Audina/Lotte Bruil are overwhelming favourites.
Amongst those fighting for Q3 are Jang So Young/Lee Yun Hwa.

XD (3 rounds and some have byes, 4 qualifiers)
Overwhelming favourites for Q1 are Mogensen/Frier Kristiansen.

So, even if it's just the qualifiers, still not entirely boring.

All names you mentioned here are today's winners too: Wang Lin (Chn), Julia Wong (Mas) and Camilla Sorensen, Norsyahliza Baharum (Mas), a Korean, Judith Meulendijks

Yes, all the three players mentioned in MS qualified to the main draw. Both Li Yu (Chn)and Lu Yi (Chn) will meet Malaysian players today, K.Yogendran and Yeoh Kay Bin respectively.

In WS, Julia Wong (Mas) and Norsyahliza Baharum (Mas) failed to clear the final hurdle in qualifying round, losing to Wang Lin (Chn)(1-11, 0-11) and Lee Hyun Jin (Korea) (11-9, 2-11, 3-11).
