    MS: Kidambi Srikanth [IND]
    WS: Sung Ji Hyun [KOR]
WD: Jung Kyung Eun/Shing Seung Chan [KOR]
    XD: Praveen Jordan/Debby Susanto [INA]
MD: Goh V Shem/Tan Wee Kiong [MAL]

Nice review on the last year edition:
    http://bwfbadminton.com/2016/02/01/...national-badminton-championships-2016-review/

Malaysia Masters was a good show starter for 2017, the excitement and action seeking eyes will now take the badminton fans across the Indian ocean to the northern state of India, Uttar Pradesh.
Many elites still reserving themselves for the prestigious AE it seems, although plenty of 'fan-magnets' have registered to cross-swords in this tourney.

    MS:
completely dominated by the Indian youngsters and future hopefuls the draw looks pretty weak by GPG standards.

Players to watch: Kidambi Srikanth, the defending champion will go all out to secure his ranking points and to consolidate his position as the IND #1

HS Prannoy : after a string of stellar wins in the PBL HSP will like to continue his good form and seek much-needed title.

Hans K V: HKV is ready to trouble everybody after injury last year
BSP, Andres Antonsen, Verma brothers and young Lakshya Sen.

    WS:
Saina Nehwal got off to a winning start this year by clinching Mal masters but has opted to withdraw from this tourney, although the new Indian darling PVS will take care of everything. PVS, the OG silver medalist and 2015 beaten finalist will display her form and massive improvements in all aspects.
    sindhu-1454001267-800.jpg
The overwhelming favorite will be chalanged by the Spanish #2 Beatriz the improved Indonesian youngsters Hana Ramadini, and Fitrani.
also a great opportunity for Indian youngsters like akarshi Kashyap and Rasika Raje to showcase their strengths.

The Danes will draw eyes of millions in the doubles discipline.
PS: Highlight of the tourney: Setiawan/TBH

Saina Nehwal opting out was a good decision. Given that her fitness level is around 60%, the risk of injury is very high. Back to back tournaments are tough even for fully fit players.

Ruthvika Shivani Gade is missing from the list. Most likely she is injured.

WS opens the door for an INA player to make the final.

17 year old Siril Verma has opted out, he was due for a second round clash with 15 year old Laskshya Sen. On paper, Siril is the clear favourite, he is physically stronger and has more tournament exposure. Siril Verma will play in the Thailand GPG.

Satwik Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty get a tough R1 match against the No.1 seeds Mathias Boe/ Carsten Mogensen
This will be a good learning experience for them. It will be a nice surprise if they win!

Satwik/Chirag played well but lost to an experienced pair! They need time on the circuit. In 3 years they will be a strong MD pair!
