These new skills are " the first, new and limited edition" developed to be demonstrated in the 2009 All England only. These newly acquired and developed skills are tailored to defeating PG, LCW and LD...

OK...I let you know only one of the 7 magic techniques:

    1. The so-called Tornado jumping smash
Jumping and turning his body 360 degree while smashing.....:D

I'm sure TH must have learned some magic from David Copperfield! His opponents will be mesmerized once they look into his hypnotic eyes! :D

    ^^I think..^^

..indra has been watching and following too much NBA basketball...;)
After the 1st trick/technique, i can foresee these next few tricks/techniques:
    2. A windmill backhand smash
    3. A double pump slice shot
    4. A tomahawk over-the-head jump-smash
    5. The no-look reverse slice drop shot
    6. A spinning behind the back drive
    and last but not least..
    7. The "Now-you-see-the-shuttle-now-you-don't" disappearance act..

..i hope everyone will have their camcorder ready..:p ;)

Maybe the 1st round is better...

Maybe it is better for Taufik to face Lin Dan in the 1st round... because if they meet in the finals... Taufik's body will have to already endure 4 days of grueling tests... :p He might not have anything left by the 5th day...

    :D:D:D

And... Lin Dan have shown in the past that he might not be hard-battle ready in the 1st round... Lin often got better as the tournament progressed and even peaked in the finals... [did you see the Olympic 2008 overwhelming destruction of LCW?] :D Lin Dan was just absolutely unstopabble that day...

I strongly believe this is the beginning of the end for Taufik. Without the strictly discipline and strict training in the national squad, Taufik will become a second rate player in a year's time, following in the foot steps of Chen Hong.

Disagree.U cannot generalize.Chen Hong is Chen Hong.
One Independent Professional Badminton Player is on the way, how can you tell the end of his journey?
Taufik and other Indo players might be the pioneer.

Korea's Lee Hyun Il left the national squad at one time to train on his own, and he got nowhere except downhill all the way. Once back in the national squad, he did well and even got to the last 4 in the Beijing Olympics.

4 Heavenly Kings: LCW, LD, PG and TH to meet at the Semi-Finals at 2009 All-England?

    .
These 4 Heavenly Kings, LCW, LD, PG and TH could probably meet each other at the Semi-Finals at 2009 AE.

I hope not. After 1 All England title and 1 more INA Open title, then he can go downhill... ;):D

We hope so. Best of luck to Taufik, Alvent-Hendra AG, Flandy-Halim, etc...

Yes, Tony-Candra won many SS titles or at least reach the semifinals of SS tournaments after they left the National Team... Tony G. actually even won the World Championship in 2005....:p without the INA National Team...

Doubles players have a higher average playing life span, not so with singles players. Without the strict and tough training provided in national squads, it is very difficult for independent singles players to be at their peak. Their greatest weakness will be fitness or lack of it.
