    MD Gold medal went to the TPE Tsai Chia Hsin/Lee Sheng Mu who beat their compatriots Chen Hung Ling/Lu Chia Pin.     That's the end of the 6th East Asian Games. Several of the participants have to immediately proceed to Denmark for the PSS tournament commencing two days later.

    12 hours flight to Copenhagen in the cramped economy class couple withe jet lag is going to be very taxing on the players especially when they have just played in one competition.

    Somebody knows whether there will be another EAGames this year?
    I personally think the high tier countries in badminton should only send their second team in such regional events.
    Japan team with Team A and Team B is a good system to support and integrate this policy.

    The East Asian Games are finished. Wikipedia describes it in the past tense. This article refers to its 'transformation' to the EA Youth Games, starting in 2019.

    The proper word should be East Asian Games transform into East Asian Youth Games.

    The 2017 East Asian Games was scheduled to take place in Fukuoka, Japan, but was later scrapped and will make a new event in 2019. (It's now the 2019 East Asian Youth Games, in Taichung, Chinese Taipei).
