apparently both posts are referring to the same fact.
one from a well educated/manner, civilized friend of the forum another is just the opposite.

no prize for guessing who's who.

China team send quite a decent squad to Mas.. Prefer to test out several new scratch pair..
Meanwhile, Korea entered Jung Kyung Eun and Kim Ha Na in the WD category.. Let's hope they can actually play competitively again.

As expected, Renesas is trying to pair Miyuki Maeda and Reika Kakiiwa together after the retirement of Suetsuna and Fujii. Kento Momota and Nozomi Okuhara are being sent to Malaysia Open for the first time. Too bad I can't attend the MO next year. :(

it will be even bigger when it becomes a PSS.
as all top players are forced to entry and most Chinese players are top players.;)

Why is Zhao Yunlei not partnered up with Zhang Nan? Aren't they also a couple besides badminton?
Or are they trying to push Tang Jinhua and Qiu Zihan with these new formations?

Where is Cai / Fu? Where is Chen Long? Where are Xu / Ma?

The Chinese National Team Championship will take place next week. It also serves as the qualifying rounds for the all important Chinese National Games next year. The national team will then go into the traditional Winter Training mode until early February. Clearly, the Chinese team is reluctant to attend any competitions during this period.

Due to the Winter Training, MO has always been poorly attended by the Chinese team. This means no disrespect from the Chinese team, just an unfortunate conflict in timing. Only the SSP status compelled the Chinese team taking part in KO. As an SSP next year, MO will see the full Chinese team.

This is not to say that the Chinese team should not change their schedule to fit the BWF time table, but I'd rather see BWF changing their time table to create a Winter Break for the good of all players.

Sun Yu and Deng Xuan are playing too in the qualification stage. Hope they and Wang Lin get a good draw and avoid meeting their compatriots too early.

Also happy to see Bae YJ (back from injury?), Mitani Minatsu, Tai TY, PV Sindhu, Busanan and Porntip.

Let's see whether Intanon Ratchanok can win her first SS title here - she is still playing non-stop and leads in the number of tournaments played, 20 so far, 21 including this one ( and not counting the CBSL).

For the MS, I'd like to see Wang Zengming go far but with Lee CW around, I don't think anyone else (in the absence of Chen Long) can wrest the title from him, not on his territory to boot.

Chen Yuekun, the recent Macau Open GPG titlist, and Gao Huan are playing in the qualification stage; both are expected to progress into the main draw.

Darren Liew and Chong Wei Feng should be motivated on home soil and will want to shine too.

For me, I'm also interested to see how the Sri Lankan, Niluka Karunaratne, will fare beginning from the qualifiers.

The question is: Will the MAS Open be a piece of cake to Lee CW? Can anyone do a Du Pengyu to him? I seriously doubt so and won't want to bet against him successfully defending his title.

    Too bad she had withdrawn => M/Q Report version 3 (updated 28th December 2012) : http://www.bwfbadminton.org/file_download.aspx?id=420978&tid=1

According to Badzine, she's injured once again : http://www.badzine.net/news/the-end-of-the-road-for-wang/22761/

Good luck Wang Lin, hopefully she'll be back soon!

It seems like its sever injury . I blame all this to Li Yongbo.. He is such a person who does not care about players' concerns. If she has to play for Nationals or local games all the time, how come she will get rest for her legs as well as mind.

How come a lot of the top Chinese players are missing? Isn't there a rule that says players must attend all SS tournaments?

It's PSS, if top players must attend all SS they will die from exhaustion
