I'm a fan of LCW/LD, and wish LCW makes it for the first time! \o/
Here are my predictions though there might be upsets :) What do you say?

Based on 5 years of Chen Long's dedication towards "Important" competitions and LCW's "Important" finals.

Chen Long is my favourite in this event. There is no way, admittedly for LCW/VA/LD to win unless a miracle happen.

    Only mens singles?
WS has much more uncertainty in comparison.

MD is the one discipline I really find hard to make a proper prediction.

to be fair CL,LD and LCW is older now.

so in my opinion, anything can happen. they used to be god like but we know unless they are god like again, anything can happen in single match.

The thing is that, on biggest occasions "World Championships" or "Olympics" Chen Long still comes out at his Very Best. And so do LD and LCW. This is big occasion, no matter there are young talents but these legends have the best chance as they are exceptional if they are at their best.

Viktor Axelsen lost many games against LD/LCW/CL while having advantage of winning the first set. And I think he has the best skills to challenge them.

Women Singles: Japanese are gonna give tough time to PV Sindhu and Carolina.

Mens Doubles: Boe/Mogensen, Gideon/Sukamujo and Goh/Tan. Zhang Nan is no more ghost but who knows, I still believe if it was Chinese, it will be No. 1 seeds.

Mixed Doubles battle will be between Indonesia and China top seeds. There might be Fisher hanging in there nervous and Gabi being punished for long serves.

Kinda agree with that, bar LCW, there's just not enough depth in MAS Badminton at this moment in time.

this is because Malaysia one of the badminton powerhouse, not even able to win a single WC, while some countries like Thailand, Japan, even Spain can able to win WC...

Malaysia had dropped the ball in all previous OG/WC. Look at Koo/Tan and Lee Chong Wei. When they could have win, they lost. Lack of focus in their match often hampers their performance, much to the regret of MAS supporters. It's no wonder why they failed to have any kind of expectation for them.

LCW was either too tensed, injured or age catching up with him.
