China's Chen Long vs Tian Houwei seems to be the least amusing match in the MS lineup today. Chen Long's super form continued yesterday as he disposed Indian Ajay Jayaram 11 and 10 while Tian Houwei was similarly convincing in handling LCW conqueror Brice Leverdez.

Chen Long (China) vs Tian Houwei (China)

Five Time World Champion, Lin Dan was made to work very hard for his victory over the European Champion, Rajiv Ouseph. His wear and tear game made sure Ouseph was soaked to the skin by the half time interval in the deciding rubber. A lapse of concentration resulted in him wasting 5 match points.
Wong Wing Ki Vincent of Hong Kong looked impressive against the Number 4 seed, Shi Yuqi.

Lin Dan (China) vs Wong Wing Ki Vincent (Hong Kong)

Viktor Axelsen nicknamed 'The Mountain' stormed through to the Quarter Finals. Ng Ka Long Angus was overwhelmed by the relentless agression and accuracy of the tall Dane. Chou Tien Chen messed up the first game but appeared to have regained the form he was longing for during the crucial phase of the match against Singapore Open Champion, Sai Praneeth.

Viktor Axelsen (Denmark) vs Chou Tien Chen (Chinese Taipei)

What to say about India's Srikanth Kidambi that hasn't been said so far. There is a freedom to his shot-making that appears to be unsettling all his opponents. Korea's Son Wan Ho would bank on his geometrical precision and super solid defence.

Kidambi Srikanth (India) vs Son Wan Ho (Korea)

    WS

Ratchanok Intanon vs Chen Yufei would be so interesting and refreshing at the same time

Sindhu vs Sun Yu seems to favor Pusarala

Okuhara vs Marin is our MATCH of the DAY.

Saina vs Gilmour should be a closely contested affair.

Starting at 10:00 am, 2 courts

All the WS matches look good. Among the MS, KS vs SWH should be a craquer. Attack vs defense. It should be the final, and is unpredictable to me. Axelsen vs Chou is the second best match, the other two not being too appealing.

tbh neither Sun nor Sindhu seem like they're in very good form. It'll be interesting whether one or both of them can bring it tomorrow.

It's a huge shame that Marin vs Okuhara isn't on TV court, even if we can stream court 2. We will hear the screams regardless so...

and I'll be interested to see whether Chen Yufei can maintain her good performance from today.

After yesterday's heart attack, PVS should know better than to put her guards down.
SY came from the mouth of death as well.
I am not expecting a high quality affair but will be a close one regardless.
    60-40 PVS

CM vs NO should be match of the day, unfortunately have a feeling CM will prevail, let's hope it goes down to three anyway.
    70-30 CM

SN has to stay vary of Kirsty, she's in great shape and is very agile. SN powered her way down SJH's armour looking for a repeat
    70-30 SN

CYF vs RI, if yesterday's match was any indication RI is no mood to allow inexperienced youngsters spoil her party.
    75-25 RI

    Predictions MS
    KS > SWH 65-35
    CL > THW 90-10
LD > WKWV (LD has to adopt the TMN style again :p ) 75-25
VA > CTC (VA looks even more impressive than KS and CL to me atm) 70-30

Yesterday I saw min 2 wins n max 5 wins.
    We got 3.
Day before, I saw min 3 wins n max 7 wins.
    We got 4.
Today I see min 3 wins n max 3 wins.
I keep on exceeding minimum by 1.
Pre tourney, I looked at min 2 n max 5 medals. We are now assured of exactly 3, thus exceeding the min by 1 again.

Man, what a great lineup. It will be a joy to watch all of them matches.
A great time for badminton fans, not for MAS fans though. :(

Saina Nehwal and Srikanth Kidambi appear to be peaking at the right time. PV Sindhu is yet to get into her zone and looks vulnerable. Sun Yu can topple Sindhu if she pushes hard enough. Saina needs to play fearless badminton or crowd favourite Kirsty Gilmour can cause an upset.

Saina Nehwal on her form and fitness:
Are you back to your best?

"No, I’m not playing well. I had a very hard injury. But I realise that you can’t be at the top at all times. Let us see. I played OK. Still, I’m not at 100 per cent. I’ll be very happy the day I play at my best. That day I’ll come and tell you I’m back."

I suspect the adcocks are going to have a hard time. They haven't had many chance observe their opponents.

I've always adored her's and Jwala's answers to the interviewer. Very straightforward and very cracky. If you want to give diplomatic answers learn from WSX don't hang in between.
PS: I think lately I've been missing her more than any other player.

No MAS players in the quarters since God knows when.
All 20 matches are great except one, CL vs THW.
