    Voltric 80

    3UG4 SP CODED
    Balance : Head Heavy
    Stiffness : Stiff
    String : NBG98 @ 26 lbs
Grip : Karakal Overgrip over wood handle
    Balance Point : 293 mm

I am playing doubles. I am an aggressive player plays mainly pushes, drives and smashes.
I suffered in shuttle past my head whereby I can't return the shuttle to opponent's baseline with short swing / wrist snap.
I am having trouble lifting heavy smashes back to the baseline.

I want a racket that could improve on my short swing strokes and defense.

Should I go for a slightly lesser head heavy racket and less stiff ?

I was thinking about Victor Super Wave 35, Meteor X70 and Meteor X80.... I am keen on Victor rackets.
    Please recommend me a racket

BraveSword 10/11 also should be considered.:) I like the SW35 for doubles, but MX80 is good too, MX70 is pretty much the same as MX80, just lesser shaft stiffness.;)

As above. Also should consider a 4U vt80.

Since you want to improve your defense and your wrist is not strong you need a head light to even balance with more flexible racket. If you want a Victor racket you can consider BS 09, BS 12 or SW 37. SW 35 and MX 80 have a very stiff shaft, perhaps it will not suite you.

    How does the head heaviness of BS 10 / BS 11 / SW35 / MX80 compared to VT80 ?
    and the shaft flexibility ?

From what I have read on the forum, BS series seems more even balanced. is that true?
    I have tried out the BS10 , SW35 and MX80 at a Victor store nearby. .
i like the BS10 diamond shape frame very much though. It really cuts through the air very good ! SW35 has this nice solid feelings. the head heaviness could be felt as soon as i lift it up. Is it as heavy as VT80 ?
MX80's heavy heaviness placed somewhere between BS10 and SW35. VERY STIFF ! and cut through air pretty well too

That could be nice...but i wanted to try other brand besides YONEX.. i personally thinks that YONEX overpriced their rackets..

BS09 and BS12 is way to flexible for me. IF SW35 and MX80 head heaviness is lesser than VT80, i am sure i could handle their shaft stiffness.

I am looking for a lesser head heaviness than VT80 ... and slightly lesser shaft stiffness.. something like VT70 ?? any Victor rackets could match VT70 ?

What is your VT 80 balance point? I have an MX 80 with PU grip and a BP of 287mm, if that BP is lesser than VT80 that means it will suit you.

My BP for VT80 is at 293mm. But after playing a game of double the BP will drop to around 285mm due to sweat.

I'd recommend BS11 because of is whippier shaft. It'll improve your short swing shots.

Guys how much does x80 and SW35 cost? I am from Malaysia. I have tried swinging around with VT80 , SW35 and MX80 around today (3Us)Though all written on the code about the same weight 85-89.9g but it seems VT80>SW35>MX80I don't really understand why...perhaps the difference in BP for all three of them

Can't give price in Malaysian currency, but, in SG MX80 is S$199, SW35 is less, and VT80 is S$260ish

Since you want to improve your short swing, BS11 stiffness and sword-tech makes it perfect for it
however sw35 would be better to help you clear back to back since it has a bit more power.

I have check with modern sports at PJ Old Town earlier, the owner quoted me MX80 @ RM480 & SW35 @ RM300. Price includes grip, string, a pair of socks and Victor bag. After much thinking, I will be going for SW35. MX80 is too light for me to generate power from it. Since I am looking for a slightly less head heavy racquet than VT80 to improve my defense and short swing, SW35 seems to suits my requirement the most. Thanks for all BCers for ur recommendations and advices. Will put in a review if I get it on the court.

adition, make sure MS got stock and he reserve for you. don't waste your time go there without getting what you want.. and a reminder, he won't on the spot string your racket.. he will tell you go back to get the racket.
