Will the BG 80 weigh less than the BG 65 @ 22 lbs? :confused:Just curious as i'm gonna change my BG 65 to a BG 80 soon.

    Thanks.

It may be the same but if it was different you will not notice it. Maybe 1/4 grams different.

Since the bg 80 is thinner it should weigh a bit less, but like phandrew mentioned it will not be a drastic difference.

to compared the weight of string can be from the packaging, more accurate. When re-stringing, we are more concern that the string can run-in faster with the correct tension, suit your plays and strokes. for your consideration, pse.:D

Generally thinner strings from the same manufacturer are lighter than thicker strings. However, the same size string of say 0.66mm from one manufacturer (Yonex BG66) weighs about 3g on the frame whilst that from another manufacturer (Ashaway's PG66 Neon) weighs about 3.4g. The reason is that Yonex's BG66 has a much less dense center core with only a few hundred filaments whilst Ashaway's PG66 Neon has 4,000 filaments in the center core.
