    Hey Guys,I'm a newbie here..

I own a Yonex AT 700 with BG 65 strings..I hv been playing with it for over 3 Years now.I just started noticing that the strings are loosing their tension..I mostly play doubles at Intermediate level.
Is it time to get it restrung( I have a BG 68ti string that I can use) or should I be ok in just changing the tension to 25-30 lbs??

I can perhaps find the answers by digging in the older threads but really pressed for time..Sorry guys..
    Any advise would be appreciated.

I am a little confused with your question. So just to clarify, you are asking if you want to get it restrung with BG65 or BG68Ti, right?
If you have not played with Bg68Ti before, why dont you try it for a change, you might actually like it. The tension varies from person to person & it is really hard to advice you, an apt tension for your racket.

My original string(BG 65) has lost its tension..I was wondering if I should get it tightened to perhaps 25-28 lbs or should I just get BG 68ti strung since it has been over 3 years with the original string?

I play only MD and Doubles with more Offensive approach and Control at Intermediate level..

Read Dinkalot's string review to get an idea on the string.

Your string is worn out. Normally the strings last up to a year before the performance starts falling away as the strings dry out (moisture).

It was factory preset tension..I guess it wud hv been arnd 21 but over the years I was perhaps playing with 19 as it lost its tension.

I'm mostly offensive with fair bit of control and play MD and Doubles..

    holy smokes~ 3 years!!

With that out of the way, maybe you can try Bg-80's as they're more powerful and lively. I don't know your exact level, but don't go too high in tension since you're used to low tension. You might actually injure your shoulder if you jump up too fast. 22 - 25lbs is the tension choice of most intermediate players.

If in the end you choose to go 26 - 30+ lbs, see if your friends have racquets strung up that high and test to see if it works for you!

Since I have not used these strings before, it is best for other members who have used them to answer.

You could try NGB98 thou (I use them for my rackets).

if your previous string lasted for 3 yrs, that means that you probably don't hit very hard.

given that, 25-28lbs is not a good idea for you. to play with higher tension you need to be able to hit hard to exploit the hidden power. if you cannot hit hard, it will rob the power out of you. i recommend at most 23lbs with bg80/bg68ti.

Yeah..since I happen to have BG68ti, I might just get that..I also have a spare BG65 which is rated bit better than BG68ti..But perhaps I'll try a new string with maybe 22-23lbs as the racket will loose 15% tension in a month's time..

Go with BG80 or BG66 at a lower tension.
