Looking for some people to play badminton with and places to play. I'm now living in Huay Kwang area of BKK and don't mind if I have travel alittle ways. I'm an intermediate player but happy to play with anyone and my schedule varies so often I have a lot of free time. please email at desoto283@yahoo.com and let me know what places are available, when, cost, etc. Thank you.

Flying time to Vientiane would equal my time traveling within BKK to Sathon ;) I'm sure someone from around there can help you out, if you speak/write thai then I recommend you try posting here: http://www.thaibadminton.com , unfortunately badmintoncentral is mainly used by expats.

    Hi!

I'm a new comer here. I am Thai citizen and intermediate badminton player. I'm living in Thonglor (Sukhumvit 55) area where my condo has one badminton court to play. I am looking for any interested badminton players to join me. Just would like to practice my English skill while having fun with my favorite sports.

    Thanks!

    Dent

There are various groups playing at the Thai Badminton Association at the junction of Wireless Road and Sarasin Road and is not too far from Sathorn.

Key in 'Thai Badminton Association' for the exact location

    courts at Thonglor

Hi Dent, I'm guessing you live at 55th Tower? That's the only condo I know on Thonglor with a badminton court in the basement. I have one friend, called Tim, who lives there and likes to play. Maybe I can put you in touch with him.

I didn't know there were badminton courts at Wireless/Sarasin...that will be handy for me, because travel time to Sathu Pradit from Sukhumvit is too long and too expensive 3 times per week!

Hi Carl, thank you for your reply. You are correct that I'm living at 55th Tower. I don't think there will be anymore condominium with badminton court built inside haha.
And yes I will be happy if your friend, Tim, would like to play with me too.

About the badminton courts around Wireless road/ Sarasin, I know one place at Suanlum (the Thai Badminton Association at the junction of Wireless Road and Sarasin Road and is not too far from Sathorn._ as Sealman's reply here). I used to play there sometime a while ago. There are several groups playing there and quite friendly to foreigners. May be you can try.

Ok Dent, cool...add me to facebook using email address dustyhen@hotmail.com. I'll then put you in touch with Tim. He's a really friendly guy, you're sure to make a good friend there. I'm in UK right now but when I'm back in BKK we'll get in touch for some games.

Hope we can get in touch some games when you are here in BKK. Thanks!

Hi Dent, I live a stones-throw away from Ekkamai BTS, I wouldn't mind a game now and again although I haven't ever played singles in this ****ing heat ;).

    Hi Dent,
I will be visiting Bangkok February 16th thru March 1st, and will be bringing my racket with me. Were you able to get some playing going? I will not be staying in the Sukhumvit area but a bit further north, but it should be possible for me to get there with public transport and/or taxis. I would be interested in playing if there is an opportunity:) (skill level, hard to say, I am playing in the lowest of regional leagues here, not too far from Munich, Germany) thx + rgds / Mats
